1. Introduction

At Dropbarter, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our platform or use our services. By using Dropbarter, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that helps us provide a secure and efficient dropshipping experience. This includes:

  • Personal Data: Name, email address, billing address, shipping address, telephone number, and payment information when you register or transact on our platform.
  • Operational Data: Store details, product import history, and order fulfillment records.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and website usage statistics collected automatically via cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to facilitate dropshipping transactions, including:

  • Processing and fulfilling orders between sellers and vendors.
  • Calculating dynamic shipping costs and platform charges.
  • Managing payments, subscriptions, and payouts safely.
  • Providing customer support and resolving disputes.
  • Enhancing security, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with third-party service providers who assist in our operations, such as:

  • Payment Processors: To securely handle transactions.
  • Logistics Partners & Couriers: To calculate shipping and deliver products to end customers.
  • Third-Party API Platforms: When you connect an external store (e.g. Etsy, Shopify, eBay), limited data is exchanged with those platforms solely to enable order synchronization.
  • Legal Authorities: When required by law or to protect our rights and prevent abuse.

5. Data Security & Compliance

We implement robust technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. We process personal data in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable, and other regional privacy laws. However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Etsy API Integration & Data Usage

'Etsy' is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.

When you connect your Etsy shop to Dropbarter, we collect and process specific store and order details to facilitate dropshipping order fulfillment. This includes:

  • Etsy Shop Profile: We read your shop details, such as shop name and shop ID, to associate your connected account with your Dropbarter profile.
  • Etsy Receipts & Orders: We fetch pending, paid, and unshipped receipts (orders) from your Etsy shop to allow you to pull them into the Dropbarter platform for processing.
  • Buyer Contact & Shipping Information: We access buyer names, shipping addresses, and email addresses (where authorized by Etsy) associated with your Etsy receipts, solely for the purpose of order identification, shipping calculation, routing, and fulfillment through our logistics network. This data is not used for any marketing or profiling purpose.

Data Retention & Deletion: We store Etsy OAuth authorization tokens securely and encrypted at rest. Order data pulled from Etsy is retained only as long as necessary to process, ship, and track the respective dropshipping orders. You can disconnect your Etsy account at any time from the Etsy Integration Dashboard, which immediately revokes our access and refresh tokens and stops any further data retrieval from Etsy. You may also contact our support team to request permanent deletion of any synced Etsy data.

No Screen-Scraping: Dropbarter retrieves all Etsy data exclusively through Etsy's official Open API v3. We do not scrape, crawl, or access Etsy data through any means other than the authorized API.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and CSRF security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You may control cookie preferences through your browser settings; however, disabling essential cookies may affect platform functionality.
